Gas pedal Renault Twizy (autonomous)

I'm currenlty doing my thesis with as subject an autonomous Renault Twizy. I'm
in the first stage of converting the Renault Twizy and facing a few problems.
The brakes and steering are purely mechanical parts and i have retrofitted
them to become drive by wire. The last thing i need to do is spoof the gas
pedal signal and i'm wondering if the OVMS reads out the gas pedal position
and can reproduce this signal? furthermore i was wondering if you can tell me
if the OVMS keeps track of acceleration and deceleration?

Ovms tracks both plus zero acceleration. next time i'll get a ovms-notification frommy Twizy i'll post it here.

For the pedal position and accelerations, see the metrics & standard reports & telemetry data. Acceleration & deceleration are calculated from the measured speed change. That's done for all vehicles (see brake light function), but the Twizy adaption also uses these for the power statistics (see trip reports).

Faking the pedal isn't easy. The pedal is connected directly to the SEVCON. Have a look at this paper:

They claim they could control the pedal translation curve live by modifying the pedal parameters (i.e. SDO 0x3814).

They claim having done some other things they clearly didn't do, so overall reputation of this paper is low. It seems to be a possible approach, but I haven't tried it. 3814 is at least writable in operational mode, so give it a try.

OTOH, if you've already fitted some actuator for the brake pedal, maybe it's easier and more reliable to fit another one for the accelerator.
