Feature request: Support 2017 Leaf to allow ClimateControl while not plugged

Hi all,

As Nissan shuts down the support for their app, it is now crucial to have alternative way to use ClimateControl everywhere, not only when plugged in.

So really grateful if someone puts effort for this development!!

This seems possible already? Same procedure as the 2018 and onwards. My climate control works everywhere on my 2018.

2016-2017 LEAF models (ZE0-2)

To use OVMS to activate remote climate the Nissan TCU (Telematics Control Unit) module must be disconnected from the CAR-CAN bus. If you remove the TCU completely the hands-free bluetooth microphone won’t work. To retain the hands-free microphone, follow the instructions here.
