Anyone else having issues with their OVMS in their Leaf? It started with the HVAC function not working. It's devolved now to the point that the app hasn't connected to the OVMS in 3 days. I can unplug the OVMS from the OBD port and plug it back in and it will work for a few minutes, but then it stops working again. Now I can't even get into the OVMS via wifi as the network doesn't broadcast anymore. I'm going to try to pull it out and plug it in via USB to see if I can access it that way. If not, this thing has died and I've only had it for a year.
Same here. It can't be just the two of us. And it started right after the update in January.
I think I've had issues longer than that with HVAC, but the communication loss issues started with the January update.

What firmware chain are you all running? Toward the last few months of 2022, I found the EDGE firmware updates to our 3.3 board had started effectively somehow jamming up the device communications approximately 2-3 days after firmware upgrade completion in our 2017 Leaf. The same behavior of being unreachable also happened about the same amount of time after having to do module OBD unplug/replug cold reboot/restarts.
I got tired of not being able to use the device and ultimately decided to reboot the module one final time and manually uploaded the latest EAP firmware (3.3.003 from the Dexters-Web.de site dated September 3, 2022) via USB connector, and also reverted to the EAP firmware update chain so it would not lose its comms again, and it has been fine since! Still not sure what caused the issue with the module running on the recent EDGE firmwares, but I had hoped EAP would be a better choice than the bleeding edge, and for us it has been solid on EAP.
Here's where I found the EAP binary file to upload manually (standard location):
https://ovms.dexters-web.de/firmware/ota/v3.3/eap/ovms3.bin

ver 3.3.003 build idf v3.3.4-848-g1ff5e24b1b Sep 3 2022 11:32:12
(Dexters EAP is a slightly different version, newer by 2 days, than what is posted on api.openvehicles.com for EAP dated Sep 1 2022.)
Hope this helps someone! It might be worth a try if you are on the EDGE version now?

I am not a computer geek, so everything you said above is Greek to me. Can you please say that in more elementary terms, as I can understand it.

The version I'm running that has failed is 3.3.003 (build idf v3.3.4-848-g1ff5325b1).
I'm going to have to pull the unit and connect it via USB as it's completely unresponsive via the App and the wifi network is no longer up.
I'm running 3.3.003-263 build idf 3.3.4-849 dated Jan 23 2023 and having no issues with app connectivity.
My app version is 4.12 updated January 7, 2023
That's the app version. We're talking about the version of the firmware on the OVMS module itself. You have to log on to it directly to get that information. There might be a command you can send from the app to get it, but I don't know what it is.
I did a factory reset today and it all seems to be working properly for now. We'll see if this resolves the issue.
If the module becomes inaccessible and power cycling doesn't help, try doing a factory reset and restoring your latest backup.
If the fault reappears after the restore, do another factory reset and switch to the previous (other) OTA partition before doing the restore.

The factory reset got it working again, but there are still firmware issues. The "climatecontrol on" command doesn't work consistently. I've been posting on github about it with logs. I'm on the latest edge firmware, and it seemed to be working this week, but today it wouldn't work. Even after restarting the OVMS module, it wouldn't work. I just had to go start the car.
