Smart ED 451: No BMS status data available

Hello,

I just received my OVMS and walked through the setup.

I am running firmware 3.3.003-264-g54094e50/ota_1/edge (build idf v3.3.4-849-g6e214dc33 Jan 28 2023 00:06:58)

Like another post in this forum, I can only see the 12v battery status. I do not get any SOC or Voltage data with the ignition on. If I attempt to run bmsdiag from the shell I get "No BMS status data available," and occasionally the terminal will scroll with:

Then let us check if the OVMS can read the can bus.
First we diable all logging. 
OVMS# log level none

Then we set the logging for canlog-moitor to verbose.
OVMS# log level verbose canlog-monitor

Then we start the logging to the shell an set a filter to ID 512 as Example.
OVMS# can log start monitor crtd 512

Now we put the Ignition on to see if we get traffic from the can Bus. like this:

If there are no messages like this. There are some faults.
1. OBD Cable
2. OBD Port
or 3. The OVMS

After a reboot all settings are normal.

Smart ED requires "OBD-II to DB9 Data Cable for OVMS (1441200 right, or 1139300 left)". The NL cable you have is a different pinout. Cable documentation is here:

Changing to the standard OB-L or OB-R cables should resolve your problem. Alternatively, if you DIY capable, you can cut the cable you have and re-wire it correctly for your car.
