USB power not powering modem

I’ve got an OVMS module with the 4g module added. The module itself is stamped OVMS 3.2 but I have updated the firmware with the 3.3 edge firmware.

I’ve tried powering the OVMS with a 5v & 9v wall charger as well as an Anker Powercore usb powerbank, however when I try to bench test the device I consistently get a “poweringon” in the modem status and messages about gpio low and high in the overall status

Any ideas? It seems to work via the OBD2 port but not via USB.

thanks

Those messages seem normal.

Those messages seem normal. If there is insufficient power, you will see 'brownout' or other similar messages on the USB console and the module will restart.

So long as it is a powered USB hub, it should be fine.
