Seeking guidance for options to implement mileage dependent metrics for cars (eg. THINK City) without odometer data on CAN bus.
THINK City is one such car, with apparently no odo data available on the CAN bus.
My thoughts:
1) Integrate speed data ---- we do see speed data on the CAN bus, so it should be easy enough to get a decent estimate for distance traveled per trip, last trip distance and also have available for generating, e.g. kwh/mile and other metrics.
2) Provide way to manually enter the mileage or miles traveled (seems really awkward)
Anyway, any thoughts appreciated.
